Website Privacy Notice
Version 1.1 · Effective November 1, 2026
Spark Jar LLC · 1030 N Center Pkwy Ste N217, Kennewick, WA 99336
Notice of change, November 1, 2026. This notice now covers site and video-viewing analytics, the Ask Sal call-back permission, the phone line keeping notes only, and sign-up and billing.
What Sundry collects through its website, Ask Sal, the company overview and the exemption-certificate portal, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are and what this notice covers
1.1Spark Jar LLC, a Washington limited liability company (UBI 606 268 108). Sundry is a division of Spark Jar LLC (“Sundry”, “we”, “us”). This notice explains what we collect when you use our public surfaces, and what we do with it. For these surfaces we decide why and how your information is used, which makes us the controller of it, except for the exemption-certificate portal. There we act for the firm that asked you for the certificate, as its service provider under the Data Processing Addendum, and not as controller.
- The website at sundry.tax, including the contact form.
- Ask Sal, the guided presentation on this website. On this website Sal answers by voice.
- Calls to Sundry’s phone line, 360-979-1169.
- The company overview at overview.sundry.tax.
- The exemption-certificate portal that buyers use to give a seller their certificate.
1.2This notice does not cover the information a firm puts into the Sundry app about its own clients. For that information Sundry acts only on the firm’s instructions, under the Data Processing Addendum. If you are a client of one of those firms and want to see or change your information, ask the firm; we will help the firm answer you.
2. What we collect and why
| Where | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Contact form | Your name, firm, email, phone number and message. The page you came from, and your IP address and country, which our servers see when you send the form. | To call you back, answer your question and keep a record of the conversation in our own customer records. |
| Ask Sal | Your name, work email, phone number and firm name. Whether you asked Sal to call you back, and if you did, the time, the page and your IP address, kept as proof of that permission. Which sections of the presentation you open. Public information about you and your firm that we find on the web. Notes Sal makes during the conversation about your interests and your firm’s clients, kept with your details for up to 24 months. | To let you in, to show Sal’s answers about your practice, to follow up, to call you back if you asked us to, and to see which parts of the presentation are useful. |
| Company overview | Your name and email and, if you talk with Sal there, your conversation is handled as on this website: Sal takes notes, and we never keep the audio or a full transcript. | To give you access to the overview and to follow up. |
| Phone calls to 360-979-1169 | Your number and the notes Sal makes during the call. We never keep the audio or a full transcript. | To answer and follow up. |
| Exemption-certificate portal | The identity of the buyer, business permit numbers and images, a signature, and any file you upload. | To complete the certificate that a seller asked you for, and to pass it to that seller’s firm. |
| Sign-up and billing | When a firm creates its account at app.sundry.tax: the name, firm, website and work email, and the result of the bot check. The bank account details that our payment provider collects so that fees can be debited. | To open the account and take payment. |
| Signing the Subscription Agreement | When a firm accepts the agreement in the Sundry app: the signer’s name, email and title, the time, the IP address and browser, and the version and exact text of each document signed. | To keep a record of what the firm agreed to, and when. |
| Everyone | Technical information that comes with any web request: IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Site and video-viewing analytics: the pages and videos you view, playback quality, play, pause and completion, your device and browser, and your approximate location from your IP address. | To deliver the pages, keep the site secure, fix faults and see what is useful. |
2.1When you give your name and firm to Ask Sal we look up what is public about you and the firm: the firm’s website, its business listing, a short public summary, and your public professional background. We use it to decide whether to admit you and so that Sal can talk about your practice.
2.2We do not buy lists of personal information about you, and we do not use what you give us to build a profile for advertising.
3. Sal is an AI agent
3.1Sal is an AI agent, not a person. On this website Sal answers by voice. In the Sundry app Sal answers by chat and voice. Calls to Sundry’s phone line, 360-979-1169, are answered by Sal, an AI agent. Sundry also uses other AI agents to help run the service. When you talk or type to Sal, in any of these places, you are talking to an AI agent.
3.2Sal can be wrong. Sal does not give tax, legal or accounting advice, and nothing Sal says replaces the judgment of your own advisor.
3.3We do not use customer data to train AI models, and our providers are contractually barred from doing so. That covers what you tell Sal and what firms put into the app. The AI providers we use are listed by category on the Providers and AI page.
4. Ask Sal by voice
4.1Sal takes notes: she summarizes your conversation, and we never keep the audio or a full transcript.
4.2Talking with Sal turns on your microphone only when you choose Talk to Sal, and you can end the conversation at any time. Your voice is turned into text as you speak so that Sal can answer. What you say to Sal is processed live by our AI and voice providers to answer you. We do not identify you by your voice.
4.3If you prefer not to speak, choose “Read on my own”, and nothing is sent from your microphone, unless you later press Talk to Sal.
5. Who else handles your information
5.1We use service providers in the United States to run these surfaces: hosting, database and storage, AI models, voice, web search, telephony, email delivery, payments, e-signature, CRM, and video hosting and viewer analytics. They handle your information only to provide their service to us, and they are bound by contract to protect it. We list them by category, with the data each touches, on the Providers and AI page, which is the complete list.
5.2We pass a certificate to the firm that asked for it. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the safety of our users or our service, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this notice keeps applying to what was collected.
5.3We do not sell personal information.
6. How long we keep it
- Ask Sal: your name, firm, email and phone number for up to 24 months, and whether you asked Sal to call you back. Notes Sal makes during the conversation about your interests and your firm’s clients, kept with your details for up to 24 months. We never keep the audio or a full transcript of conversations with Sal. The raw results of our web search about your firm for 90 days.
- Phone line: your number and Sal’s notes of the call, for up to 24 months. We never keep the audio or a full transcript.
- Contact requests: while we have a relationship with you or your firm, and then for up to 24 months.
- Company overview: up to 24 months after your last visit.
- Exemption certificates: for as long as the firm that asked for the certificate keeps its Sundry account, and then returned to or deleted for that firm as the Data Processing Addendum says. The firm, not Sundry, decides how long it needs the certificate for its own records.
- Agreement records: for as long as the firm keeps its Sundry account, then for 6 years after it closes, and then deleted. We never edit them; signing a new version adds a new record.
- Sign-up details: for as long as the firm keeps its Sundry account.
- Billing and tax records: as long as the law requires us to keep them.
- Technical logs: only as long as we need them to run and protect the site.
- Analytics: only as long as we need them to see what is useful.
6.1You can ask us to delete your information sooner by writing to contact@sundry.tax. We may keep what the law requires us to keep.
8. California privacy rights
8.1If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights below. We describe our practices here whether or not the Act applies to us.
What we collect, from whom, and why
- Identifiers (name, email, phone number, IP address). From you, your browser and your calls to our phone line. To respond to you, run the site and keep it secure.
- Professional information (firm, public professional background). From you and from public web sources. To tailor Sal’s answers, to decide whether to admit you, and to follow up.
- Notes Sal makes about your interests and your firm’s clients. From the conversation. To follow up.

- Your communications (messages you send us through the contact form). From you. To answer you and improve the service.
- Internet activity (pages and sections opened, videos watched and how they played, device and browser, approximate location). From your browser. To see what is useful and to secure the site.
- Business permit numbers, images and signatures, in the certificate portal. From you. To complete the certificate. We use this information only to provide the portal.
8.2We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose the categories above only to our service providers and to the firm that asked for a certificate, as section 5 describes. We keep each category for the periods in section 6.
Your rights
- To know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to get a copy.
- To delete the personal information we collected from you.
- To correct information that is wrong.
- To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do neither.
- To limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use any we receive only to provide the service.
- Not to be treated worse for using any of these rights.
How to ask
8.3Write to contact@sundry.tax and say which right you want to use. We will confirm it is you by matching details you already gave us, and we will answer within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for proof that they act for you, and we may still confirm your identity with you directly.
9. Security
9.1We keep our safeguards to a short list that we can stand behind.
- Information is encrypted in transit, and at rest through our providers.
- Access in the Sundry app is limited by each user’s role in the firm.
- Everything is hosted in the United States.
- If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
9.2No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.
10. United States only, and children
10.1Sundry is offered in the United States, and we process your information in the United States. It is not designed for visitors in other countries.
10.2Our website and Ask Sal are for business use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this notice
11.1When we change this notice we will publish the new version on this page with a new version number and date. If a change is material, we will say so at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
